This beautiful bracelet is handmade with sandalwood beads with buddhas making four different gestures in accordance with the principle "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil, do no evil."
The little Buddhas are designed with inspiration from the statuettes of the three wise monkeys at the Nikko Toshogu Shrine in Japan.
The three wise monkeys, one covering its eyes, another its ears, and another its mouth, represent the principle of not seeing (Mizaru), not hearing (Kikazaru), and not saying (Iwazaru), which was introduced to the western world, leading to the coinage of the proverb “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.”
Other than Buddha, another style is Tara, a revered figure in Buddhism. She is considered a bodhisattva, a being who has achieved enlightenment but chooses to remain in the cycle of rebirth to help others. Tara is known as the "Mother of Liberation" and is associated with compassion, wisdom, and swift assistance in times of need.

Sandalwood is renowned for its calming and grounding properties.
